Tim Barrett always seeks alternative opinions on his mission to find the best outcome for his clients. He knows that the harder he and his team work, the better value he can deliver. He is obsessed with current affairs and thinking about how macro issues will influence the financial goals of his clients. He believes that everything his team does should only be done to add value to the client.

With over two decades of Private Banking experience supporting Australia's high net-worth families with their residential and commercial needs, Tim provides exceptional service and a deep knowledge of debt structuring. Prior to joining Highland Financial Services in 2023, Tim led an experienced team of Private Bankers and Analysts at the Commonwealth Bank in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science with a Medical major from Sydney's University of Technology, an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and Certificate IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking.

Jacob's keen sense of humour immediately puts clients at ease, and his equally strong financial judgement enables him to know he is not always right and propels him to seek alternative opinions. He believes that the best decisions are informed decisions and will never share an opinion that is not fully researched. He has a keen eye for the sublime, a passion for prestige.

Jacob joined Barrett Capital Advisory in 2026 after learning banking the hard way, from the ground up. Starting straight from school with the Commonwealth Bank, Jacob's 16-year career there saw him ultimately become an Executive Manager within the bank's Private Bank, taking care of its highest net worth relationships. He oversaw the bank's second largest team, measured by balance sheet — 12 portfolios, 900 clients, tens of millions in revenue and a multi-billion dollar balance sheet. In 2020 and 2021 Jacob won CBA's Private Banker / Director of the Year. Jacob holds a Diploma of Mortgage Broking.

David joined Barrett Capital Advisory after more than six years working with Tim at Highland Financial Services as a Mortgage Broker.
